We've built an interconnected learning ecosystem that ranges from foundational education to global leadership summits, ensuring participants are equipped to make a real impact.
GYLC's Education and Leadership Development for Climate Action program equips young people to become effective agents of climate change. We engage youth through inclusive workshops that bring together voices from civil society, academia, climate science, mental health, and government. We also strengthen the capacity of young climate entrepreneurs, providing them with the skills, knowledge, and networks needed to lead and innovate in the climate space.
Launched in September 2023, the TikTok for Climate Action initiative engaged Bangladeshi youth through a series of inclusive workshops designed to build climate awareness, leadership skills, and support constructive dialogue.
Implemented with support from BYLC, the initiative amplified youth voices and fostered collaboration across sectors.
GYLC collaborated with the World Bank’s Global Partnership for Social Accountability to strengthen youth leadership in climate vulnerable countries through online education focused on climate science, green skills, and social accountability.
GYLCx is GYLC’s online learning academy, designed to equip young people in climate vulnerable countries with the knowledge, leadership skills, and tools needed to drive climate action.
Through our Global Youth Climate Summits, we bring together hundreds of young climate changemakers from across the globe for intergenerational and cross-border collaboration. Participants deepen their understanding of climate science, develop leadership skills through targeted training, and receive support to launch their own climate action projects.
The Global Youth Climate Summit is GYLC's flagship platform, bringing together hundreds of young climate changemakers from across the Global South to address the climate crisis. Hosted as multi-day hybrid summits, the program combines climate science education, leadership development, and hands-on learning through expert-led sessions, small group dialogues, and field experiences. Past summits in Bangladesh, Tanzania, and Brazil have enabled youth to co-create solutions, build cross-border networks, and amplify their voices in global climate discourse. The summit serves as a launchpad for sustained climate action, translating dialogue into tangible outcomes through community projects, advocacy, and continued engagement.
